Review of Cheerios 100,000 Book Giveaway

Cheerios through MyBlogSpark.com sent me this great great gift pack to spread the word about a great new promotion. Cheerios and First Books joined with Jon Scieszka (author of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, including many other great stories) to distribute 100,000 new childrens books to the top five states with the most votes. By going to the 100,000 Books Giveaway site you can answer trivia questions to earn votes for the state of your choice. Get to voting at http://booksforkids.firstbook.org/jonscieszka!

I received the above package which included Frosted Cheerios (Yummy!), 5 children's books and a $25 gift card for Barnes and Noble. My son and I have read "What's Under the Bed" and "Junkyard Fort" and we plan to read "Sleepy Head" tonight! Each book is a small paperback great for carrying in your bag for the kids and each page contains the story in english and spanish and some of them have mazes and coloring pages in the back.

One of my wonderful readers will win one of these amazing packets provided by MyBlogSpark and Cheerios! All you have to do is comment and tell me why your state should win the 100,000 Book Giveaway.

  1. Perfect we love new books..and Cheerios of course. Why should my State win.. because we have the terminator for a Governor and we are so broke people are moving out of the state yet they still raised our DMV fees another 60%. Stupid California.

    Thanks this was fun :)

  3. Great giveaway!

The state I'm living in at the moment (we're an Army family, so it changes!) is Georgia. GEORGIA NEEDS TO WIN!!! We're one of the "bottom of the barrel" states on education and our schools are crumbling further in these tough economic times! Parents contribute half of the supplies these teachers need during the school year!!! There just isn't any money for anything!!

  4. What a great promotion!! All of my friends that teach in NY would agree that NY should win because as supplie costs continue to go up, and money in the budget goes down, it's the students who are missing out on the wonder of reading and other valuable lessons we were fortunate enough to have growing up!

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!!

  5. Well, I posted a comment and I think I didn't get it posted. Sorry if this shows up twice...

This is a great giveaway! I love to read and am hoping to instill this in my granddaughter. My boys are not big readers, but I'm still working on them.

My state, MO, should win because we have so many rural areas that don't have public libraries. It's hard to get easy access to books for our kids!

  6. My state CT should win because we have a lot of non-English speaking immigrants whose children struggle in the schools. Providing these kids with access to books and encouraging them to read, will help them succeed in school.

  7. Hi there! I am so glad I have found your giveaway. Thanks for offering such a great one:)

My state of CO should win the 100,000 book giveaway because we are a great state to live in. I would love for CO to encourage reading and education more. Maybe winning these books would help out with that.

  8. Well, I'm thinking the great state of Virginia should win a) because now you have 2 entries from VA and b) because I'm a teacher here, and what could be better than that?

Listen, I wanted to thank you soooooooo much for stopping by on my Special SITS Day. It’s taken me a while to get back, but I hope to see you around the blogosphere again soon!
